The only problem with writing a Friday newsletter to you is that it seems ALWAYS to be Friday!

There are plenty of new pots of money around this week to be applied for – not all huge pots for sure and of course there are plenty of people like me out there also chasing funds, but we do what we can!

There are several companies looking for charity partners too – this not only brings in a good chunk of money but really raises the profile of our school.

If you work for a company that might be interested in partnering with us, do let me know. We can make the partnership work really well for them – it is definitely a two-way street.

Although not strictly fundraising, my plea for now is for you to vote (and get all your friends and family to vote) for our choir singing in the Wellchild competition.

We are currently in third place…. visit

Our school video is the middle one, top row. The children are dressed in green and in the crow’s nest swing (it will make sense when you click on the link).

Watch the video…but don’t forget to vote!

Our summer fair

Having given you the date for our Summer Fair last week – I now need to change it!

The fair is now going to be at the other end of the summer holidays on Saturday 29 September.

So much happens in school during those last weeks after half term and the Summer Fair was just getting lost amidst other things going on.

I’m really looking forward to my first Fair here at Five Acre Wood School and will be coming to you with requests for various stalls over the coming weeks.

If you have a business and would like to have a stall at the Fair, do let me know.

Contact me with any fundraising ideas – anything (legal!) welcome:

Have a great weekend.
